MGR102 - Leading in Today’s Health Care Organization (4.0 HR)

Purpose: This course will help you gain the knowledge and skills needed to successfully manage and supervise people working in a health care facility. Objectives: 1. Understand the organizational structure and communication systems of health care facilities; 2. Describe the legal and ethical aspects of health care supervision; 3. Describe leadership qualities that will assist in meeting health care facility goals; 4. Clarify participants own personal philosophy, values, and leadership style and recognize how these characteristics may influence those they supervise; 5. Understand the supervisor's role and responsibility in specific management tasks such as team building, problem solving, conflict resolution, evaluation, discipline, and change.
