CNA123 - Caring for You: COPD (2.0 HR)

Purpose: The nursing assistant will enhance her understanding of the mechanisms that contribute to COPD and how to care for the person served who has COPD. Objectives:  1. Discuss COPD; 2. Explain structures of the respiratory system and how respiration occurs; 3. Describe symptoms of COPD; 4. List problems that can affect the person served with COPD and action steps (interventions) the nursing assistant can take to reduce those problems.
