HH106 - MGR: Musculoskeletal Disorders for Employers & Supervisors (1.0 HR)

Purpose: To raise the participant’s awareness of risk factors for musculoskeletal disorders in the home health care setting and how to prevent them. To provide managers/supervisors in the home health care setting with recommendations regarding training, equipment, and procedures that can be implemented to prevent clients and employees from developing musculoskeletal injuries. Objectives: 1. Discuss musculoskeletal disorders; 2. Explain the impact of musculoskeletal disorders on the home health care industry; 3. List and discuss risk factors for developing musculoskeletal disorders; 4. Define ergonomics; 5. Discuss ways that musculoskeletal disorders can be prevented; 6. Identify ergonomic assistive devices; 7.
