CNA101 - The Caregiver's Approach to Death and Dying (1.0 HR)

Purpose: The CNA will better understand the needs of and care for the dying resident. In addition, post-mortem care will be discussed. Objectives:  1. Describe the stages of dying; 2. Discuss your role in meeting the spiritual and emotional needs of the dying resident and their family; 3. Explain the physical care needed by the dying resident; 4. Describe the signs and symptoms that occur as death approaches; 5. Provide postmortem care.
