REG104 - Bioterrorism: Nevada and Texas (5.0 HR)
Purpose: To enhance the participant's knowledge of potential biological, chemical, radiological terrorism agents and blast injuries, signs and symptoms, and reporting procedures should an event occur or be suspected. Objectives: 1. List potential bioterrorism and chemical agents (CDC), radiation and blast injuries as acts of terrorism; 2. List & discuss categories of high risk potential bioterrorism and chemical agents; 3. Explore history, clinical features, treatment, modes of transmission, infection control/isolation precautions, post exposure management, and patient/visitor / public information for each of the agents described; 4. Discuss blast injuries; 5. Identify information available with and use of the Health Alert Network.
